Parents who wish pupils to receive instrumental tuition at School should make a request using the standard music tuition form.

By arranging music tuition, parents enter into a contract with the individual visiting music teacher and will be billed directly by them.  There is no contract between parents and the School in regard of instrumental tuition.

If a pupil is required for a School activity which will prevent the pupil from attending a scheduled instrumental lesson, the pupil is expected to take the initiative to bring the clash to the attention of both the teacher and the visiting music teacher concerned.  Mr McDougall, Depute Rector, will be the final arbiter in situations where a compromise cannot be agreed.
