Best in the West
The School has recorded impressive results in this year's SQA examinations. While we were just pipped at the post (by a single Higher grade pass!) by Heriot's for the top slot in this year's examination table of results for independent schools in Scotland, we are delighted to maintain our position as the 'best school in the west'.
The Standard grades were excellent and the Higher pass rate was 96.4% with 58.1% at grade A, one of the highest in the School’s history. St Columba’s also enjoyed its best ever results at Advanced Higher level with 52.3% achieving grade A. Of these, eight pupils achieved three As, and one pupil achieved all three As at Band 1.
Congratulations to pupils, parents and staff.
