Debating - Flying the Flag for Scotland

Rebecca Meredith and Megan Girdwood (SVI) have recently returned from the World Schools' Debating Championships in Qatar, where Rebecca was named in the top twenty speakers (of over two hundred). Due to illness Megan arrived late at the competition and therefore didn't participate in the required number of debates to be tabbed. However, she did contribute to a number of wins by the Scottish team.

St Columba's was flying the flag for Scotland at the National Finals in Cambridge. Andrew Beverstock (SVI) was the highest tabbed pupil from a Scottish school, and St Columba's was the highest placed Scottish school in the competition.
