Silver Tablet Success
Around one hundred guests and pupils enjoyed an afternoon of musical excellence, when they attended the Silver Tablet Concert. The Concert celebrates the best of musical talent from the Senior School and performers are chosen from students who have attained a minimum standard of Associated Board Grade 8. Beverley Macpherson performed on clarinet and Jennifer Hoad on piano. Both gave strong performances and the adjudicator, Mr David Murray, decided to award the Silver Tablet to them jointly.
This year two of our younger musicians, Clare Eagle (SIV) and Malcolm Millar (SII) performed as a prelude to the main event. Both Clare and Malcolm have successfully auditioned for the Junior Department of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Mr Murray praised them as 'stars of the future'.
