School Closure and Contingency Planning

If bad weather or some other emergency prevents the School from opening as normal, then the following procedure will be enacted.

 

Each family will receive one telephone call to advise that the School is closed.  A second phone call will be made to advise when the School will re-open.

 

In addition, notice of closure and reopening will be posted on the website.  In cases where some pupils have managed to arrive at School, during the onset of bad weather

  • a team of staff will be on duty
  • pupils will be looked after until they are able to return home safely or are collected by an adult or billeted with the family indicated on the Confidential Form
