Guide to National Qualifications

Download the SQA 2008 Examination Timetable

St Columba’s School presents pupils for National Qualifications, administered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).

Fourth Year pupils sit Standard Grades (except for English and Music, which are Intermediate ).  At this stage, we do not present pupils for exams a year early.

Most pupils in SV are presented for five or, in some cases, four Highers, while Sixth Year pupils take a mix of further Highers and Advanced Highers, together with extra courses such as General Studies and the European Computer Driving Licence.
