We are delighted to share another set of very successful exam results for 2017. Examination results across the board were first class, reinforcing the school’s strong academic success. The proportion of passes and A grades at National 5 are outstanding and the best ever with 98.6% pass rate and 82.1% A grades. Results at Higher are pleasing with 95.6% pass rate and 56.8% A grades. At Advanced Higher the results are very strong indeed with 95.4% pass rate while the proportion of A grades is 54%.
These impressive results reflect the talent and hard work of pupils and staff who have worked so well together to achieve them. All staff and pupils deserve many congratulations for their success in the recent examinations and credit must be given to David Girdwood for whom these are the final set of results as Rector and recognition of his legacy to St Columba’s where his focus has been on the quality of learning and teaching and ensuring high levels of academic achievement.
We are delighted to see the strong progress being made by all our pupils. They have much to be proud of and we will continue to focus on best quality teaching and learning as we start the new academic year.
