Jessica Curry, a member of last session’s SVI cohort, has been named as the joint winner of the Julia Wood Prize, an annual History essay competition run by St Hugh’s College, Oxford.  

Jessica’s winning entry, which she wrote as part of the Advanced Higher Latin course, was entitled ‘The playboy who brought down the Republic? An assessment of the importance of Clodius Pulcher in the fall of the Roman Republic.’  She shares the prize with entries from St Paul’s School, London and Eton College.  Well done to Jessica on a very impressive achievement.
