Bee-Bots Arrive In Junior School
27th September 2017
We thank the Parents’ Association for their help in assisting with the purchase of Bee-Bots for our Junior School children.
Bee-Bots are colourful, easy-to-operate, friendly little robots that help in the teaching of counting, sequencing, estimation, problem-solving and just having fun! Directional keys are used to enter up to 40 commands which send Bee-Bot forward, back, left and right. Pressing the green GO button starts Bee-Bot on its way. Bee-Bot blinks and beeps at the conclusion of each command to allow children to follow Bee-Bot through the program they have entered and then confirms its completion with lights and sound.
Ian Downie, Chair of Parent’s Association said, “The PA are delighted to support the Infant Department with their purchase of Bee-Bots. Bee-Bots give children an early introduction to coding and are an enhancement into the Junior School ICT curriculum.”
