SI pupils produced poems as part of the Bullying topic in PSE and in conjunction with Anti-Bullying week. A very well done to all pupils, in particular, Heather Young 1st, Sophie Phillips 2nd, Cayla Winter-Wright 3rd and Keir Morris 4th.

Bullying Poem by Heather Young

I may not look hurt,

I may look all bright.

But you never know what happened last night.

I’m forcing a smile,

Through all of this pain.

And hold in all the thoughts in my brain.

‘It was just a punch’

‘Do not cry!’

All I have to do is lie.

Two simple words that hide my sadness.

Wishing I wasn’t involved in all this madness.

‘I’m fine’, I’ll say.

‘I’m fine’, I’ll repeat.

Scared to read just one hurtful tweet…

Do you really think I’d let them win,

And never say a word?

Through all the mess they put me in,

The names I always heard.

I told my teacher,

A close friend too.

But forgave them for everything they put me through.

I should have punished them, been tough,

But cleaning duty is quite enough.
