This week being National Gardening Week and the sun having finally come out, members of the Senior School Gardening Club have been busy getting the area at the front of the Main Building ready for the growing season. Now that a tree surgeon has crown-lifted the three large trees overlooking the plot and a tonne of composted topsoil (reclaimed from recent resurfacing work on Murrayfield’s main pitch, no less) has been spread over the four beds, this area is ready for planting with vegetables. Keep a look out for emerging potatoes, lettuce, carrots, cabbage and kale as you walk along Duchal Road over the next few weeks.
