To celebrate the recent detection of gravitational waves, this year’s CREST Club has been working in partnership with Miss Boyle and scientists from Glasgow University’s Institute for Gravitational Research. The CREST Club was pleased to benefit yesterday from a visit from Professor Martin Hendry, Head of Physics and Astronomy. His inspiring talk allowed the pupils to learn more about this exciting new branch of Astronomy and he was very interested to find out from them about their projects and how they have been progressing.
The CREST Club would like to gratefully thank the Royal Society’s Partnership scheme for awarding a grant to Miss Boyle and Glasgow University to fund this project.
