Team Scotland Compete at World Schools’ Debating Championships

Hannah McLoughlin and Rachael Curry (Class of 2018) travelled to Zagreb, Croatia, last week to compete in the World Schools’ Debating Championships for Team Scotland. The team got off to a great start on day one with a split win against Malaysia and a unanimous win against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Day two saw Team Scotland’s first impromptu debate of the competition against the Philippines, finishing with a loss but a win against Greece. Unfortunately Team Scotland just missed out on the break this year by one judge. Congratulations to Hannah, Rachael and all of Team Scotland, what a wonderful achievement!
