J3 Visit Muirshiel Country Park

Junior 3 have been studying ‘The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark’, by Jill Tomlinson. Yesterday the children enjoyed a trip to Muirshiel Country Park to further their knowledge of British owls.
The enthusiastic children, and eager parent helpers, braved the inclement weather and were rewarded by an informative presentation from the experienced Park Rangers who taught the children about the appearance, sounds and habitats of the various owls to be found in Britain. All the pupils agreed it was the best trip they had ever been on!
