16th November 2018

On Tuesday 6th November our Drama Club performed at the Platform Theatre, Glasgow, at the Shakespeare Schools Festival (SSF).

SSF is the world’s largest youth drama festival. Each school that enters selects a Shakespeare play to rehearse and perform. We selected ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Pupils worked tirelessly to produce something of exceptional quality. Talent and professionalism shone through in an explosion of colour and movement.

The event was more than just participation in a drama festival, this marks the beginning of considerable development in performing arts in the Senior School.

The performance was repeated in school on 15th and 16th November as part of the formal opening of the Rainbow Room Studio. Tonight we look forward to welcoming back Rona Morison, West End star and former pupil of the class of 2008, to officially open the Rainbow Room Studio.
