Mr Paterson and Mrs Hepburn led a group of SV and SVI students of Spanish on a weekend cultural visit to Madrid. The exciting range of activities included a visit to Real Madrid football stadium, La Azotea (a panoramic roof top terrace), the main square, Christmas markets, the Prado Museum and Reina Sofia Museum where the students saw the world famous Picasso masterpiece, El Guernica, as well as a detailed tour of the Royal Palace. Students also toured Madrid Central Park and sampled the tasty treat of ‘Chocolate con Churros’. Lots of Spanish was spoken, as the whistle-stop tour of all the sights led to a most enjoyable and thoroughly entertaining and enriching experience.
