Pipe Band Announces New Sponsor

We are delighted to inform you that Affluent Financial Planning Ltd is the new sponsor of the School’s Pipe Band. Affluent Financial Planning is owned by one of our School parents, Carl Melvin, who runs a multi award-winning wealth management service from his Bridge of Weir office.
This significant sponsorship deal over two years will allow the Pipe Band to invest in a brand new set of drums and additional uniform items.
As you know, our award-winning Pipe Band is renowned for its first-class performances at school events, competitions and many community gatherings. Around 110 pupils from Junior 3 to Senior VI are involved in the School’s Piping and Drumming programme. This sponsorship is a major boost for each and every member and we thank the Melvin family for their support.
Commenting on the sponsorship Carl Melvin said, “I am delighted to support the School’s Pipe Band and I look forward to seeing the development of the band in the months and years ahead.”
A number of other sponsorship opportunities exist at St Columba’s including the 1st XI hockey and 1st XV rugby teams, our debating teams and musical events as well as the Musical Celebration which will be held again this December.
