1st March 2019

All parents are invited to the launch of our new Anti-Bullying Policy which will take place in the Junior School hall on Wednesday 6th March at 7pm. We are delighted that we will be joined at this event by Lorraine Glass, Policy Development Manager with respectme, Scotland’s anti-bullying service.

Lorraine will provide an overview of the most recent anti-bullying guidelines and Mrs Reilly will speak about the new School Policy and the strategies we have in place to try to prevent bullying at St Columba’s School.

Our aim is to create an anti-bullying culture, which ensures that pupils and staff learn and work in a safe environment where they are listened to, valued and respected. We hope that children and young people will feel confident and be able to approach adults about matters of concern to them and also feel able to challenge and report bullying behaviour, knowing that they will be supported by staff and peers.

We hope to see as many school families as possible at this important event so that we can build a shared understanding of bullying behaviour and how it can be challenged – both in school and in the home.
