Following her success at the qualifying sprint triathlon in Llanelli, Wales, in May, Iona Miller (SV) has been picked to race in the 2016 British Triathlon Junior Super Series. These races are designed to bring together the best young triathletes in the UK to compete against each over the season. To date Iona has been 4th in the National Open Water Aquathon Championship in Leeds and 9th in the Hetton Lyons triathlon. This year she has also started racing in adult sprint triathlons, which consist of a 750m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run, and was recently first lady at Bishopbriggs Sprint and first overall at Loch Lomond Sprint Triathlon.

Josh Hendry (SV) also competed in the Hetton Youth & Junior Open Water Triathlon event in Hetton Lyons Country Park, Houghton Le Spring. This is a European Youth Championship Qualifier and he came 10th in the Elite Junior race and was the first Scottish male finisher. This was a fantastic result in a GB race.

Iona and Josh have both been selected to train with the Scottish Squad in Baynoles, Spain, during the summer holidays.
