SVI Pupil Becomes Associate of the Royal Schools of Music
Hannah Findlater received her diploma certificate this week.
Hannah Findlater in SVI has received her diploma certificate (performing on the clarinet) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Hannah, still in her teens, now boast letters after her name: ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music).
Of this new post-Grade 8 performance-only diploma John Holmes, ABRSM Chief Examiner says 'ARSM is unique in focusing solely on practical performing skills. It’s about the art and craft of musical communication...'
The exam involved putting together a 30 minute programme for assessment. Mrs Carey is particularly proud of Hannah and is incredibly impressed that she only lost four marks in the entire exam.
