The Board of Governors is pleased to announce that it has decided to name the Senior School extension in honour of the School’s Rector, Mr David Girdwood. The Chairman, Mr Calum Paterson, said, ”In recognition of his exceptional service and all that he has achieved during his 15 years at St Columba’s, the Board of Governors has decided that the new building should be named after him.”

The Girdwood Building will be formally opened by Eleanor Laing MP, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons and a former pupil of St Columba’s, on Wednesday, 9th November.

Parents and members of the wider school community will be invited to view the building on the evening of the 9th November, further details will follow in due course.
