At the heart of our teaching is the belief that teaching is of little value unless it promotes humanity and encourages the instinct to serve. As part of a compassionate community our pupils coordinate a wide range of charitable activities.

The Charities Committee, led by a Depute Head Boy and Depute Head Girl, is a cross-school group which ensures that all pupils are involved. We follow the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative which engages pupils within their community and develops teamwork, communication, research and presentation skills to provide a hands-on active citizenship experience.

We organise a termly collection for the Inverclyde Foodbank. School bands and our choirs extend their talents to a number of good causes. We’re delighted that this session Mrs Fleming’s Junior School Choir will participate in the Clic Sargent Concert at the Royal Concert Hall.
