The first thing you notice at St Columba's is the warm welcome.
This is in part the result of our size. With a roll of around 700 across both Junior and Senior Schools, teachers know each pupil by name.
I’m very proud of the confident, articulate and well-motivated young people you will find at St Columba’s. We encourage a vibrant and caring learning environment in which boys and girls aged 3-18 years feel valued, challenged and supported and I believe that it is in the many ordinary moments, in the classroom, on the sports field or at the podium that extraordinary futures are being created. Our highly qualified and dedicated staff inspire the very best from our pupils and we are consistently one of Scotland’s highest achieving schools. We recognise our success is judged by the quality of the lives our young people choose to pursue after leaving the School, and of their ability to contribute effectively to the modern world. We therefore offer a diverse programme of extra-curricular activities and plenty of opportunities to develop both team-working and leadership skills.
In most years almost all pupils go on to university and we are delighted so many keep in touch. It is a pleasure to follow their varied and successful lives after St Columba’s.

She very much looks forward to meeting you!
