St Columba’s in the Community
Community Service
Our pupils, particularly those associated with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, actively work with Countryview, Marcus Humphrey and Campbell Snowdon at Quarriers, Kilmacolm Day Care Centre, Ardgowan Hospice, Brownies, Guides, Finlaystone Estate and Muirshiel Park to name a few.
Music
The School’s Pipe Band regularly performs within the community at local agricultural shows and various charity events in addition to an outdoor Christmas performance in the village. Our Brass Quartet is pleased to support musical evenings at the Old Kirk.
Art Show
The School holds a biennial Art Exhibition for pupils, staff, evening-class students, professional and local artists to display and sell their material.
Birkmyre Leisure
Instructors from Birkmyre Park, Inverclyde Leisure’s gym facility in Kilmacolm, hold fitness classes in the Sports Hall at Junior School on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6 and 7pm.
