Methods of Payment
Parents can choose one of two ways to pay School fees -
1. Annual Lump Sum Payment
Payable before 21 August 2009 by cheque or bank giro credit when a discount of 2% can be taken on tuition fees only. This net sum will be shown on the fee notes issued in July 2009.
2. Direct Debit Instalments
All direct debit collections will be taken over ten months on the first business day of each month from September to June.
If required, please download and return completed direct debit mandate to the Finance Office.
Advance Fees Scheme (Future Years)
The School continues to operate an advanced fees scheme, details of which can be obtained from the Company Secretary.
Development Fund
A Development Fund levy of £150 per annum is charged (except Nursery and Preparatory).
Debenture
A Debenture to the value of £350 must be purchased for all new entrants on acceptance of a place at St Columba’s. This amount will be returned in full on the date of the pupil’s departure from St Columba’s.
BURSARIES
Financial assistance is offered in the form of means-tested bursary places ranging from 10-100% of fees, for new applicants entering Transitus (Junior 7), Senior V to study Highers or Senior VI to study Advanced Highers.
Bursary applicants will be subject to our normal admissions policy where places offered are in order of merit. Applicants will be asked to complete a confidential application form detailing their financial circumstances to assist the Company Secretary in the assessment process.
