The Parents’ Association (PA) Committee is composed of a group of parents committed to helping the School.
The main objectives of the PA Committee are:
- to provide a forum for discussion and communication with the School
- provide opportunities for parents and families to meet socially (e.g. Treasure Hunt)
- to raise funds for the school through various events (e.g. Uniform Sales, 200 Club)
We welcome all types of parent participation in our activities - from active PA Committee membership to drop-in volunteering for a service or event. Parent involvement in any capacity is integral to the success of the PA and the service it provides.
Examples of initiatives that we have supported recently include refurbishment of the School’s fitness suite, purchase of defibrillators, sports equipment, library books, musical instruments, Pipe Band uniform and playground toys as well as contribution to the purchase of lighting and sound systems for drama productions in the Junior School and Senior School.
The PA Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held each spring to report on our progress and achievements throughout the year and to take a look at what we have planned for the coming year. This event also includes presentations from Mrs Angus and Mrs Duncan on events in the Senior and Junior Schools respectively and for the last few years has included a presentation from the Chairman of the School’s Board of Governors on development plans.
