The second week of the Inverclyde Music Festival was just as jam-packed as the first, with piping and drumming, solo singing and brass all making an appearance. Due to the distruption caused by Storm Éowyn, yesterday (5th February) was the final day of competition with the rescheduled verse competitions taking place (and lots of St Columba’s successes to be celebrated).
And it wasn’t just the competitions where our pupils shone. On Saturday 1st February, piper Louis O’R (SIII) and the Junior School Choir took to the stage at Greenock Town Hall to represent the School in the closing concert.

Notable achievements include:
- Louis O’R (SIII) was named Bagpipes 15 Years and Under Champion
- Archie T (SV) was named Bagpipes 18 Years and Under Champion
- Fraser R (SVI) scored 95 on Bass Drum – the second highest score in festival history!
