It has been a very exciting few weeks for Anastazja M (SV). During the Easter holidays, she received the news that she has been selected to be a Villars Fellow 2026 and, as such, has been invited to attend the Villars Symposium in Switzerland in June.
Anastazja has a keen interest in STEM and aerospace, so when Dr MacBeath shared the information about this opportunity, Anastazja knew that this was a challenge she had to undertake.
In order to be selected as a Villars Fellow, she had to complete a series of tasks, including submitting an independent project. All of this was completed while also studying for her Highers!
The Villars Symposium brings together leading experts, partners of the Institute, and selected Fellows to support their development as future systems leaders, encouraging collaboration and innovative approaches to global challenges.
As well as this, Anastazja – who is also an Arkwright Scholar – has been invited to join the team representing the UK at the International Space Settlement Design Competition which is held at NASA during the summer.
Well done, Anastazja – what an incredible set of achievements. It is truly a testament to all the hard work you put in.
