Time for Inclusive Education Workshops

Time for Inclusive Education (TIE) visited St Columba’s to deliver anti-bullying and inclusivity workshops to our Transitus and Senior School pupils on Monday 22nd June.

TIE are specialists in anti-prejudice education, supporting schools and education settings to address and prevent bullying. The charity delivers Scotland’s LGBT Inclusive Education programme, including learner workshops, curriculum resources, and professional learning for teachers on behalf of the Scottish Government. Through their Digital Discourse Initiative programme, they provide tools and strategies to counter the effects of online hate and disinformation on young people.

This is the second time TIE have visited our school to deliver workshops, and we are delighted to welcome them back this month. Throughout the day, the charity delivered engaging sessions to our Transitus and Senior School pupils on two key topics: ‘Challenging Gender Stereotypes’ and ‘Understanding Prejudice.’

Pupils and staff found the sessions insightful and incredibly useful. We look forward to working with TIE again in the future.
