Pupil is offered a place in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain - a first for St Columba's!

We are delighted to share the news that Cara E-M (SVI) has been offered a place in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain! This is a first for St Columba's School (certainly since 2006) which makes this already stand-out achievement all the more significant. We wish to acknowledge the input of Cara's vocal teacher, Mrs Daniella Hathaway, who has taught Cara for many years, and for the hours of work she has put in with her to get her pupil to this standard of performance.

Cara has applied to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland when she leaves school in June 2022, so we look forward to seeing what she achieves beyond school!

The cover photo for this story was taken in early November when Cara, and a select group of choristers from the RSNO Junior Choir, sang at the COP26 summit in Glasgow.

St Columba's enjoys a reputation for musical excellence and we are thrilled to announce Cara's success thus far.
