Senior V and VI pupils were put through their paces yesterday during Investment Challenge, an event sponsored by BNP Paribas.

Pupils are given the opportunity to experience the world of buying and selling shares using a finance lab simulation working in pairs. Their decisions to buy or sell are made in response to variations in the external environment, which is constantly changing. BNP Paribas visited the school to share their experiences of the finance sector and careers in that area. Following their presentation and a Q&A session, pupils began the challenge which lasted one hour (or 2 trading days).

As it is a national competition, if successful, pupils will qualify for a finals day in Glasgow next month. Fingers crossed!
