Well done to SII Kilallan who were selected as the winners of The Youth Philanthropic Initiative (YPI) final, held in school yesterday by the panel of judges including Mr Girdwood and Mr McLaughlin.

Their charity, Justice for the Silenced, which focuses on supporting victims of sexual abuse and rape received a cheque for £3000 towards their current and future projects. All of the charities that were represented in the final received a donation from the school for supporting our pupils in the preparation of their presentations.

Shilla Zwizwai, the founder of Justice for the Silenced was overwhelmed by the donation and has encourage the pupils to stay in contact with her and the charity to help increase the awareness of this extremely important topic. The pupils in SII raised £500 of the £3000 themselves by under taking a 'bob-a-job' month with the rest of the donation being funded by the Wood Group who support the Youth Philanthropic Initiative.
