David Cruickshank in Senior SII has qualified for the Scottish Youth International Fly Fishing Team following his performance in two recent competitions. Over two dates in Aug and Sept, David fished by boat on Lake of Menteith and Carron Valley Reservoir. Due to his performance, he was selected for the Scottish U18 National team, which is quite an achievement given his age. He will be one of a 14-strong team who will train as a squad for the next 11 months and then fish as a team in the Youth Home International Fly Fishing event which will take place against England, Ireland and Wales at Draycote Fishery in Rugby next August. David will gain full international honours and his first Scotland Cap as a result.
