9th November 2017

As part of Dyslexia Awareness Week, we are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity to attend a presentation led by Moira Thomson MBE on Wednesday 22nd November at 6pm in the Senior School Hall.

Moira is an Educational Consultant and Director of CPD Bytes. She has published a number of practical guides for teachers and is author of ‘Supporting Students with Dyslexia in Secondary Schools’. ‘Dyslexia Scotland’, ‘Dysguise’ and the ‘British Dyslexia Association’, all cite Moira’s publications when offering support and advice to teachers and parents. Indeed her work has been recognised at the highest possible level with the recent presentation of an MBE for her services to children with dyslexia.

On 22nd November, Moira will be offering parents an insight into how dyslexia, dyscalculia and other learning needs present themselves and how we can best support pupils in managing these difficulties.

In order to allow as many of you to attend as possible we will supervise children in an adjacent room for the duration of the presentation.

We look forward to welcoming you on the evening of 22nd November.
