It was the turn of the Junior 4 children to impress friends and family with their performance skills, as they presented the Julia Donaldson play ‘The Head in the Sand’ last week. This is a new development within performing arts and the first J4 production. Our younger pupils enjoyed their moment in the limelight, in addition to further developing their acting and performance skills in preparation for the next School musical.
The boys and girls of J4W and J4B achieved much in a relatively short space of time, as rehearsals only commenced towards the end of April. The children worked tirelessly learning lines, working on staging and character development, in addition to the inclusion of two musical numbers. This collaborative effort between performing arts teachers, class teachers and teaching assistants led to three highly successful performances, enjoyed by all.
