Our Virtual Christmas Cards from St Columba's Pupils

Christmas 2020 turned out to be very different to the typical events we were used to at St Columba’s. Although we had been able to return to school after a summer of Virtual learning, there was not to be the same whole school activities that we would normally enjoy.

However, everyone across the school had proved that they were able to conquer Virtual School, so a Virtual Christmas would be no challenge for them!

Each class across school was invited to create a virtual card to send to all the other pupils at St Columba’s and to our wider community as well. Each card included a video recorded message from the class highlighting things they have enjoyed during 2020 and their wishes for the year ahead.

Junior 1 recalled how they enjoyed learning to read and making new friends throughout 2020, while Junior 3 celebrated with colourful confetti canons wishing everyone good health in the New Year.

Our older pupil’s messages focused on their hopes for the new yearincluding SV Kilallan who hoped for snow at Christmas and the possibility of a Rugby and Hockey tour. Meanwhile, SVI Duchal appreciated that during 2020 they had been given more opportunities to spend quality time with their families

It was lovely to hear the positive messages from pupils across school, that despite a year filled with ups and downs, pupils across St Columba’s have been able to cherish the special moments 2020 presented.

You can enjoy all the message that pupils had to share via our playlist here.
