Entrance assessments for Junior School consists of:

Early Years - age 3 & 4 
An informal assessment which is aimed at identifying a child’s social and emotional skills, motor skills and readiness for learning.

Junior 1 
An informal assessment which is aimed at identifying a child’s readiness for school including the readiness for developing reading and mathematical skills. The child’s social and emotional skills are also a crucial part of the assessment.

Junior 2 to 6
A standardised reading comprehension assessment.
A standardised Mathematics assessment.
A Non-Verbal Reasoning Quotient (NVRQ) test (for entry to J4 and J6).
The child’s social and emotional skills are also a crucial part of the assessment.

Entrance assessments for Transitus, Senior I, II and III consist of:

An English composition or close reading.
A Mathematics examination.
A Verbal Reasoning Quotient (VRQ) test.
A personal interview to assess inter-personal skills and the range of interests of the applicant.
