23rd June 2017

What a wonderful, inspiring morning at prizegiving - a time for pupil celebration and also change as Mr Girdwood delivered his last speech as Rector of St Columba's, bringing the 2016-17 school session to a close.

Sir Bill Gammell, Chairman of Cairn Energy and former rugby internationalist, was guest of honour at Senior School prizegiving and presented Jessica Curry and Connie Dodds with the award of Joint Dux of St Columba's School 2017.  Yesterday, Gemma Gibbons Burton, Olympic silver medallist, gave a motivating speech to our Junior School pupils and presented Corey MacLeod with the award of Junior School Dux and Euan Lindsay as Proxime Accessit.

Profound speeches, superb music, heartfelt thanks and bidding farewell all contribute to the mixed emotions that we feel as we wish the Class of 2017 (including Mr Girdwood) all the best for the future.

From everyone at St Columba's School we wish you all an enjoyable summer break.
