On Saturday the 25th November the Art department hosted an all-day CPD event which was attended by teachers from England, colleges of further education, as well as other SCIS schools, led by artist Ian Murphy.
Ian demonstrated, with the aid of his own detailed tonal architectural work as evidence, his approach to developing quality observation drawings.
His enthusiasm and expertise were palpable and very inspiring to witness. His techniques will now be used to help inform pupils' expressive and design work.
We hope to see him again next year.
