Our public speaking team, Mark Connolly, Finlay Cooper and Eilidh McCrudden (SV), won the district finals of the Rotary Youth Speaks competition at the weekend and now progress to the area finals in Dundee on 11th March.
Their discussion on the power of music generated much positive feedback with the judges commenting that "they were in a different league" and their outstanding performance also prompted an audience member to get in touch to say, “I found the team extremely impressive, both in their presentation and in private conversation afterwards. All three are excellent ambassadors for the school and you have every reason to be proud of them.”
We wish them the best of luck for Dundee and hope to see them at Exmouth for the national finals.
