Our current total raised from the Wee Sleep Out is in excess of £2800.  We are extremely grateful to everyone involved in this fundraising initiative - the support has been quite amazing.

Whilst the overnight event was only open to Junior 4 pupils and above, we were delighted to hear of one family in the Infant department who slept outside with friends for the evening, thus participating in their own Wee Sleep Out.  Jenson Matthews raised an enormous total of £455.

One of our Junior 5 boys, Isaac Roebuck, has been so inspired by the work we have been doing for Social Bite and all that he has learned about homelessness that he has planned his own charitable initiative.  Isaac is planning to put a slight twist on the idea of a ‘Christmas’ stocking and will be filling socks with some essential items (with the other sock being included too) and then tying them up with a red ribbon.  He plans to write a little message to include in each sock which he hopes will brighten up someone's day.  If any of his friends, classmates or School-mates wish to participate, socks can be handed into Junior 5K classroom and Isaac will take it from there.

On the back of the Wee Sleep Out, Mrs Smillie, Teacher of J5, has signed up to the Sleep in the Park event on Saturday 8th December.  Eilidh Gemmell in SVI is also participating and we hope that the frost stays away for one night in December so they have as pleasant a night as possible for their charitable endeavours.
