Pupils from across Junior School have entered Royal Mail's Heroes Stamp Design Competition

We know there is no post on a Sunday but we have lots of colourful stamps to share! Our Junior School pupils have been busy taking part in the Royal Mail’s Heroes Stamp Design Competition!

The competition has been set up to honour the heroes of the coronavirus pandemic, giving children the opportunity to create a meaningful stamp design. A panel of judges will choose eight pupils (aged 4-14) from across the UK to become designers for a stamp collection to commemorate the pandemic. The queen will also officially approve the winning stamp designs before they are printed and issued.

Available are a number of cash prizes and awards for regional winners and runners-up. The competition closed just before the end of May and we were delighted to get to witness some of the fantastic designs created by Junior school pupils.

It is lovely to see so many bright and colourful designs, all adorned with rainbows as a lasting and positive memory from the pandemic.  Well done to all pupils who have submitted a design!
