This term our Junior School will be supporting Compassionate Inverclyde.

Compassionate Inverclyde is a local charity supporting emergency admissions to Inverclyde Royal Hospital. To support the appeal, Junior School will be temporarily suspending their collections for the Foodbank and ask for donations required by Compassionate Inverclyde.

Compassionate Inverclyde supports the community in numerous ways, however, their key aim is helping people admitted to hospital. When people are admitted to IRH, especially in an emergency situation, they often have no belongings, such as clothing, sleepwear or basic toiletries. With the current admissions to the hospital increasing, Compassionate Inverclyde's supplies of toiletries are running very low.

Examples of items needed: shower gel, washing sponge, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, sanitary products, hand sanitiser, face wipes, shaving foam & razors, hand cream, moisturiser, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouth wash, tissue boxes and combs or brushes.

St Columba's Junior School is asking that if each child brought in even just one item, then we would be helping this local charity greatly in their time of need.  A trolley will be in Junior School Reception to receive any donations you can make; the children will be made aware of this appeal this week and it would be our hope that we can deliver goods to the Charity in a few weeks' time.  We would like to thank all our St Columba's families and friends in advance for their continued generosity and kindness.
