Join us on Saturday, 30th October for a fun trail through Kilmacolm!

We are delighted to be hosting Kilmacolm’s Scarecrow Festival again this year! Organised by our Holiday Clubs Manager, Mrs Elise Duncan, in partnership with Kilmacolm Community Council, this weekend will see a staggering 50 plus scarecrows pop up all over the village!

Everyone is welcome to participate in this fabulous community event. If you would like to make a scarecrow with your family and display it in your garden, you are most welcome (and encouraged!) to do so. By 12pm on Saturday 30th October, there should be in excess of 50 scarecrows all around the village for children to find.

An electronic map of the trail is available here. We are extremely grateful to Fraser Reid in SIII who designed the map for this year’s trail.

We are grateful to local community groups and school families who have spent the past week or so making and designing their newest family member! Please see the images here below for all of the contributors without whom the Festival would not be possible.

Finally, rain is forecast tomorrow but that won’t put a dampener on the fun! Follow the map on your phone (or download and print it), get your wellies and waterproofs on over your Halloween costumes and have lots of fun!

Please use our hashtag #StColsScarecrowTrail when you post photos online and we will re-share them next week. You can also send us your photos if you'd prefer: marketing@st-columbas.org - it will be lovely to see the community enjoying the great outdoors!
