Congratulations to SIV, V and VI on their exam success.

For pupils in Senior IV, V and VI, Results Day 2022 is like no other. For the first time since 2019, examinations were carried out in-person and their results determined by external exam markers.

As with the past two years, the outstanding results issued today are unique and, although comparisons will inevitably be made with previous years, they should not be viewed as a return to normal. Indeed, disruption to teaching and learning due to Covid absences, continued throughout the year.

We must commend the hard work and tenacity of our teachers and pupils, who have had to adjust time and time again over the last three sessions to different models of assessment, but who have risen to the challenge every time.

Our warmest congratulations go to all our pupils who are celebrating huge personal wins and we are delighted that their hard work, determination, and resilience have been duly rewarded. We know how much time and effort goes in to preparing for these exams throughout the year, and we are proud of each and every one of them.
