On Monday June 19th, members of the Piping and Drumming Programme wowed an audience of family and friends in Birkmyre Park in their annual Beating the Retreat.
Despite the very changeable weather, pupils from Junior 4 through to Senior VI took to the field to showcase their hard work, including a performance of "St Columba's School, Kilmacolm" a musical celebration of our school in its 125th year written by our Piping and Drumming Programme Manager, Mr Gordon Bruce.
Beating the Retreat is always a great opportunity to bid farewell to SVI leavers, as well as celebrating the hard work and progress of our young musicians.
