Taking place from the 17th to 21st Feb...

This February half-term looks to be as action packed as ever with collaborations including Inverclyde Sheds based in Greenock and UpHub Works of Paisley. Both organisations bring with them an array of skills and ideas that should enthuse our young participants – plus the children will even use specialist equipment to build window boxes, wind chimes and piggy banks! (All heavily supervised, you will be relieved to know!).

This Holiday club we have added a new element to our activities, with Multi-sports Coach, Martin McKellar, who will be facilitating workshops such as Archery, American Football and Ultimate Frisbee throughout the week. No two days are the same!

Other activities include Yoga with Jacqui and Football skills with John Gibson Goalkeeping Academy.

All participants are advised to wear old, comfortable clothing appropriate to the Clubs’ activities. Please also remember to bring a waterproof jacket, play shoes or wellies. We are hoping for brighter weather, but we realise it’s February in Scotland!

·         Warning: glue and paint will be used each day - please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, otherwise please provide an overall.

·         We ask that children are dropped off as near to the start time as possible: we do not want anyone missing out on the planned activities. Please make sure that you wait in the School Reception area at the end of the day and let staff know of any change in collection details.

Children are asked to bring an empty milk carton for the upcycling workshop; there will be a small number of cartons available should anyone forget to bring their own. As usual any cardboard boxes or tubes are greatly appreciated, we can make all sorts of creations with some recycling.

We aim to include the residents of Campbell Snowdon once again with plans to have a Multi- sports session for all. The children have shown themselves to be great hosts for our visitors so we are keen to continue with our intergenerational work.

Lunch and breaks are a time to relax and re-energise between the Clubs’ busy sessions so please provide enough snacks for your child to sustain them throughout the day. All participants should bring their own water bottle which can be refilled at the designated water stations. All snacks and lunches must be nut free.

Please note that the Holiday Clubs core hours remain the same 10-4pm; however, we have an Early Bird session from 9-10am and a Night Owls session 4-5pm with additional costs.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact holidayclub@st-columbas.org
