Learn how St Columba's has taken on the challenge of home learning

Who would have thought that a worldwide pandemic would change the way our school works? One day, we were happily going about daily life, attending and teaching classes, mingling with our classmates and colleagues, attending school sports matches and clubs, hosting parents’ evenings, dancing performances and former pupil reunions. The next day, we are all confined to our homes, in varying levels of readiness and willingness, to take on the challenge of leading normal lives, but almost wholly online. We are delighted that everyone at St Columba’s has adapted very well to this entirely new way of teaching, learning and working. In fact, we are doing so well that we want to tell you all about it!

Every day, our teachers will be bringing you details about what we have done to ensure our pupils continue their studies and what our staff are doing to nurture their love of learning.

So, please follow us on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter to find out more via our teachers' videos! The first, starting today, was recorded by Mrs Reilly, Rector of St Columba's School.

You can also download this handy poster which provides handy tips and advice from our teaching staff which will allow your child to make the most of Virtual School.
