Last week our Junior 6 pupils enjoyed a taster day at Senior School

Our induction programme has not been quite the same this year owing to ongoing restrictions, however, our current Junior 6 pupils enjoyed a busy day at Senior School last Friday experiencing a typical day in Transitus. They spent time with their base teacher, the wonderful Mrs Smillie, but they also attended specialist lessons in languages and technology. Pupils also attended a science lesson where they tested the vitamin C content of fruit juice using DCPIP, set up and set off a ‘bubble bomb’ and investigated the pattern between the amount of mass and number of oscillations of a spring.

Each group of pupils received a tour of Senior School and they all had lunch in the sun-bathed Girdwood Green, the area dedicated to Transitus. Junior 6 also had the opportunity to speak to current Transitus pupils who shared tips and all the highs that await next year’s class. We hope Junior 6 had an exciting and reassuring day and we look forward to welcoming our new Transitus to Senior School in August.
