Well done to both teams, who have recently enjoyed matches against QVS and Wellington.

The weekend of the 5th of June saw our 1st XI Hockey Team and 1st XV Rugby Team enjoy their first and final match of the 2020 -2021 season.

The coronavirus pandemic has put restrictions on a number of our school activities including halting sporting events, matches and games. However, at the start of June, three weeks before the end of our 20/21 session, our rugby and Hockey players made sure they were able to showcase their skills and abilities.

The 1st XV Rugby team took on Queen Victoria School, Dunbalne. Unfortunately, our rugby team lost this match, but are looking forward to playing against our St Columban former pupils and competing in the upcoming Captain vs Vice Captain match.

Our 1st XI Hockey players proved that they would remain victorious for the 20/21 season, comfortably winning their match against Wellington School, Ayr.

Despite the short season all our SVI players should be very proud of their dedication to training and hard work throughout the season and their time with the team. We look forward to welcoming back many of our players to join our Former pupil matches!
